Fecal Occult Blood/Transferrin Rapid Test
FOB (Fecal Occult Blood) Test, also known as iFOBT (Immunochemical Fecal Occult Blood Test) or FIT (Fecal Immunochemical Test) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for qualitative detection of human occult blood in feces. It is useful to detect bleeding caused by a number of gastrointestinal disorders, e. g., diverticulitis, colitis, polyps, and colorectal cancer.
