Main Uses (Indications)

Bammox is used to treat bacterial infections such as:

• Respiratory tract infections: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media (ear infections), bronchitis, pneumonia
• Skin and soft tissue infections: impetigo, cellulitis
• Urinary tract infections – including in children and pregnant women
• Dental infections: abscesses, gum infections
• Bone infections: osteomyelitis
• Sexually transmitted infections like gonorrheal urethritis

Available Forms

• Oral Suspension:
  Each 5 ml contains 1000 mg of amoxicillin + 250 mg of sulbactam
  Bottle: 60 ml
• Tablets:
  Each tablet contains 875 mg amoxicillin + 125 mg sulbactam

Typical Dosage

• Adults:
  1 tablet every 12 hours, for 7 to 14 days (depending on infection type)
• Children:
  44–55 mg/kg/day, divided every 12 hours (usually as suspension)

Always follow the dosage prescribed by a doctor.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins
• Use caution if you have a history of allergies, kidney, or liver disease
• Possible side effects include:
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Skin rash
  • Rare: serious allergic reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis)
